Assignment 2__Bolt

1.Yes, I think the students needs to learn not only Chinese, math and science but also ethics and religion. They need to learn more extra knowledge.
2.There are over thousands of different religions so I think that we can understand different cultural backgrounds through that class, and learn to accept and tolerate different religions.
3.I think it is great to study religion in school because we can know something about different religions around the world, and we can also know their culture, their backgrounds, even their origin.
4.It is great because the student can respect and tolerate some different religions and learn about social ethics.
5.It is bad because it may cause some problems. Though we should tolerate and accept all of the religions, some conservative religions think some interference may occur while they pass on their faith to their children.

  1. 1.

Students don't have to take ethnics or religion courses in school. There are some christian and catholic schools and some of my friends go there but they still do not have to participate in the religious activities if they do not believe in the god or the religion. It does not have to be required.

    2.

I think learning about other religions can help me to understand people from many different backgrounds or cultures. Teenagers do not have any interests at any religious things, however, from taking religious courses, they can also be motivated at the religious activities. On the other hand, if you already have a religion, it will be a good chance to get to learn and know more about other religions than saying that your own religion is much better.

    3.

I think studying religion in school only has to be in religious school. Because, not everyone wants to learn about god and beliefs, so it only has to be educating to the people who wants to learn about those kind of things. Many students have different perspectives and also their family would not allow them to believe in any gods so they are not interested at studying in religion.

    4.

The benefits might be that the students who knows more about many different religious group will be capable to understand many different things they are unfamiliar with. Understanding each other is an important thing as you grow up and participate in society. However, drawbacks can be that the students would not be really interested in other academic subjects because they are interested in that and might not spend enough time on academic subjects.

    5.

Do you go to religion school?

If you don't why not? If you do why?
